Algorithmic Trading

CU Quants is currently developing an algorithmic trading strategy using a paper trading account in an attempt to generate above average returns. The team as a whole is split up into two groups: CUTE and Strategies.

The C.U.T.E Group

The Colorado University Trading Emporium (CUTE) is CU Quant’s trading software built from scratch to back-test and trade on real-time data using algorithmic strategies. Team members who are a part of CUTE use Python and other languages to develop, maintain, and improve the CUTE software.

CUTE Team Members: Ephram Cukier, Nathan Keyt, and Ryan Watts.

The Strategies Group

The Strategies Group at CU Quants uses mathematics and their knowledge of financial markets to develop trading strategies. The group goes through a rigorous process of research and development (R&D) where they research and develop a trading strategy, publish their findings with backtesting, and run their strategies on the CUTE system against live data.

Strategies Team Members: Ibrahim Aldulaijan, Natalie Hansard, Robert Hellums, Nathan Keyt, Nathan Kochera, and Ryan Watts.
